UXperience Hackathon - TD Bank

University of Waterloo
Role:
Business Developer
Accomplished:
Academic Research, Problem Definition, Pitch Presentation

Team:
Myself and three team members
Length:
2 days

The Goal

The how might we statement for the 8 hour hackathon was as follows:

“How might we make big data useful and easily accessible for small business owners, allowing them to get insights to help make decisions and have access to tools/products they need from TD”

The Solution

Using ideation, design sprints and iterative prototyping our team determined a way to organize a customers transaction history visually in an easy to read manner.  Working with a small business owner we researched the wants and needs of small business owners to create visual elements for the TD dashboard that would give the owners the information they need.

My contribution to the solution:

  • Led the team through an ideation phase before coming to our problem space
  • Developed the business plan and found the validation for the solution
  • I created the pitch deck and script
  • Presented the pitch to the mentors and sponsors
